CSGV Runs Ad Calling on South Carolina Leaders To Support Victims, Not NRA -

In the wake of the tragic mass shooting in Charleston on June 17, 2015, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) ran a full page ad in The State newspaper in Columbia, South Carolina calling on Governor Nikki Haley and South Carolina legislators to stop listening to the National Rifle Association (NRA) and pass real gun reforms.

The ad highlights an offensive comment about the shooting by NRA board member Charles Cotton, who blamed Mother Emanuel A.M.E senior pastor and shooting victim Reverend Clementa C. Pinckney for the deaths of his parishioners.

The ad, reproduced below, ran in today’s print copy of the paper as well as on The State‘s website.
